Mission Statement
The Bainbridge Recovery Club will serve as a non-profit, meeting organization for all levels of addictive behavior for anyone seeking a 12 step recovery program.
Purpose
The Bainbridge Recovery Club is intended for use by those seeking help from substance addiction through already established twelve step programs, both by hosting regularly scheduled meetings and by providing a safe haven for fellowship with other members in recovery. Meeting content and format are under the auspices of each individual group. The club assumes a passive role in this regard by providing the conduit and not the contents.
Finances
There are no club fees required to attend meetings, only as dictated by the group conscience of each group. Admission to the club is at no charge, but memberships are available as a means of financial support. The club is approved as a nonprofit facility operating within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. It means that all donations and contributions to the club are tax deductible. Anyone wishing to make a donation to the club will receive a receipt should they elect to deduct the contribution when filing individual taxes.
Facility
The physical facility is separated into two sections, one for meetings and the other for fellowship. This has allowed single parents to attend meetings when they otherwise may not have been able to do so.
Governance
The BRC is being governed by the Board of Directors. Qualification, duties and responsibility are set forth in the By-Laws.
Code of Conduct
Strict adherence to club rules and regulations is mandatory, as dictated by the posted regulations.
